Drawing cup Black 16
This cup is made by Chie Fujii, a ceramic artist living in Los Angeles, U.S.A. The hand-painted drawings on the ceramic cups give them a playful feel, and their thickness makes them ideal for hot beverages such as coffee and tea. The cups are a little out of the comfort of symmetry, and the joy of finding beauty in imperfect shapes.

東京藝術大学で彫刻を学び、修士課程を修了。2010年に渡米、デザインスタジオのクレイモデリング部署にてカーデザインに携わった後、アメリカ・ロサンゼルスの工房でセラミックを素材に作品制作を行っている。作品は手捻りで制作され、左右非対称の造形に魅力があり、あそびのあるドローイングが空間に遊びをはこぶ。
