Teabowl 01
Bowl by Shun Kumagai, a glass artist working in Akita Prefecture, Japan. After being made in the same way as an object using the cast glass technique, the inside is smoothed out by applying heat and reworking. It is a functional piece that can be used for practical purposes such as a bowl for powdered green tea.
Shun Kumagai's glass works have a sense of presence, with the traces of flowing glass floating like drawings in their quiet appearance. Enjoy the beautiful expression that reminds you of ancient glass and ruins, and at the same time, is filled with new light and hope.
