SILENCE gray×amber
The original "SILENCE" series by Toyama Prefecture-based glass artist Takeyoshi Mitsui is glassware created by the overlap of glass craft techniques, careful handwork, and the artist's sense of humor. The originality of the color combination has a unique soft impression due to the delicate line engraving process applied in a width of approximately 1mm, creating a sharp appearance and a beautiful tranquil landscape with nuanced gradation.
Each glass is handcrafted one at a time, and while no two are exactly alike, their quiet appearance is uniform, and there is also the pleasure of combining multiple shapes and color variations.

1987年広島県生まれ。倉敷芸術科学大学 大学院 芸術研究科 工芸専攻修了。2012年より富山ガラス工房での勤務を経て2016年独立。現在富山県にて制作。繊細な技術を用いた工芸的な美しさを持つ実用のうつわ「SILENCE」と、ユーモラスで自由な表現を感じるアートピース「Bottle People」は両極端にあるように見えるが、根底に流れる美意識は共通したものがあり、実用と非実用のガラス表現を行き来する現代的感覚の工芸作家のひとりとして、今後の活躍に期待されるアーティスト。
