Alana Wilson's works depart from an extremely personal point and lead to an inquiry directed towards humanism through the existence of "vessels," which have constantly been by the side of people's lives in the midst of humanity's ups and downs of life spanning tens of thousands of years. She thinks about what she has felt during this pandemic, as well as the moralities of the various people she has seen and how to look at things, and inquires through her work. That there is a moment in which one realizes the deep beauty and light in everything. That for that, one must gaze at things with the right mindset. How people's ways of looking at the world have changed during the past few months. About the big and beautiful light (the micro-world) that can be seen by looking closely at micro happenings. She expresses through her work that while the world continuously flows and continues to change due to all interactions, we can look at the "Halo" in it by looking closely. Specifically, that is related to the expressions of the ceramic glaze in her work. She says that these appear due to the various phenomena that occur in the kiln and are the "Halo" of ceramics.
